Beef with Barbecue Sauce

What you need and what you have to do

Ingredients

1 pound beef tenderloin, 1/2 pound cooked Chinese cabbage, broccoli and snow peas, pinch of salt

Marinade: 1 tsp cornstarch, 1 tbs light soy sauce, 1 tbs  dark soy sauce, 1 tsp sugar, 1 tsp wine or sherry, 1 tbs water, dash pepper, few drops sesame oil

Sauce: 1 tbs Barbecue Sauce, 2 tsp cornstarch, 1 tbs water, 1/2 tsp sesame oil

Preparation

1 Marinate meat at least 30 minutes.
2 Cut cabbage into small pieces, broccoli into flowerets.

Method

1 Heat wok, add 2 tbs oil.
2 When hot, swirl in salt and add vegetable, stir-fry till done.
3 Add 1/2 cup water after 30 seconds.
4 Put on serving plate.

5 Heat wok again, add 3 tbs oil.
6 Stir-fry beef until 80% done, then add sauce.
7 Stir-fry till sauce turns clear.

Serving

Put the meat atop vegetables and serve immediately.
